Decker qualifies seventh for ARCA opener
Natalie Decker from Eagle River will be the lone Wisconsin Racers in the opening ARCA race of the season at the Lucas Oil 200 in Daytona Saturday.
Decker, 21 covered the Daytona International Speedway circuit in 49.412 seconds, a top speed of 182.142 miles per hour, placing her N29 Technologies Toyota seventh Friday, 0.232 of a seconds behind pole sitter Christian Eckes.
Decker will share start from the fourth row inside of Travis Braden from West Virginia who qualified eighth.
Decker qualified on pole at the same event last season and ultimately finished fifth in a crash-filled race, the first event on her way to a seventh place showing in season standings. The fifth place finish was here best – matched once at Elko Speedway later in the season and one of nine top-10 finishes.
The 80-lap Lucas Oil 200 is scheduled to go green tomorrow (Saturday) at 3:45 p.m. (CST)
