Dennis Prunty, from Knowles, WI will be back to begin defense of his 2018 Alive for 5 Super Late Model Series title when the series when the series kicks off at Dells Raceway Park on Sunday, April 5.

The #42 DDP Motorsports Anderson’s Pure Maple Syrup SLM will be the car to beat when the series kicks off the 2019 season with the 5th Annual Icebreaker 100 at the 1/3 mile banked oval.

Dennis Prunty’s familiar #42 Anderson’s Pure Maple Syrup SLM will be back at Dells Raceway Park for the opening race of the Alive for 5 Schedule — the Icebreaker 100.

Last season, Prunty finished with 390 points, just five in front of Skyler Holzhausen, from Sparta, WI as they topped a total of 50 racers that took part in the five-race series.

The series once again will feature a total of $100,000 in prize money over the season with four of the five races at Dells Raceway Park and one at Madison International Speedway’s half-mile paved oval.

That will be the second race in the series, the Capital 100, May 31, which this season will be a little different with twin 50-lap features. Prize money and points will be determined by the combined showing at the event.

The third round will be the popular Dick Trickle ’99 at DRP on June 22 with the fourth round, the Badgerland 125 on August 24.

Last season the fifth race was ultimately postponed, but organizers are hoping for better luck in 2019 with the series coming down to the Falloween 150 on Oct. 19.

One other change this season is a 10-point bonus for any driver that takes part in all five events and in a series that was won by just five points last season, being able to take part and be consistent from spring to fall will be a key in this event.
