Josh Bilicki, 23, of Menomonee Falls, wrapped up a 30th place showing at the Texas Motor Speedway in his #93 RSS Racing Code Rum Chevrolet Camaro at the NASCAR Xfinity Series My Bariatric Solutions 300 this past weekend.
Bilicki started on the 13th row after posting the 26th fastest qualifying time with a 29.557 seconds trip around the 1.44-mile circuit, a little more than a second off the pole pace set by Christopher Bell.
In the first 45-Lap stage, Bilicki moved up to 24th spot but only the top 18 remained on the lead lap at the time of the break. During the second stage he dropped one spot and remained a lap off the lead pace. Through the final 110-Lap session, Bilicki battled some issues, falling back to 30th and 16 laps behind although he was classed as Running at the checkered flag.
Bilicki has competed in all six Xfinity events this season and the 30th place showing ranks in the middle of his results so far. His best to date was in the season opening event at Daytona Motor Speedway where he crossed the line 23rd in the NASCAR Racing Experience 300.
Bilicki collected seven points for his win and he sits 29th in the overall points standings with 44 – tied with Mike Harmon.
The Wisconsin racer will move on with the RSS team to Bristol Motor Speedway where racers are scheduled to begin practice today (Friday, April 5) with practice sessions at 2:05 and 4:05 Central time. Both practice sessions will be shown live on FS1.
You’ll have to rise early to catch qualifying at 8:40 a.m. and the Alsco 300 is scheduled to go green at noon. Both the qualifying and race sessions will be on FS1 as well.
