The season has barely started, but it has already been
a good one for four-cylinder specialist Jay Orr, from South Milwaukee.
Running some fresh wheels, Orr added a second place finish at a 200-Lap Enduro in his #18 at Rockford Speedway to his win at Dells Raceway Park just two weeks prior.
Part of the deal for winning nearly $5000 at the Impact Survival Series event at Dells Raceway Park a few weeks ago was Orr having to turn his car over to promoter/owner Matt Rowe, but that certainly didn’t slow down Orr who found a new car and made it work at Rockford.
Orr held the point spot briefly in the second half of the event that switched from the regular oval to ‘Monza Course’ that included a kink on the back straight.
However, the day ultimately belonged to Illinois resident Ryan Lagestee who gave up the lead but recaptured it later to claim the win.
Other Wisconsin racers that make the trek just over the Illinois line and finished in the top 50 included: #3 Jason Korth from Juda who wrapped up the podium with a third place showing; 331 Terry Biddick from Evansville, 13th; #327 Sean Laughlin from Beloit, 26th; #13 Mauro Perez from Clinton 30th; #84 Brian Hillringhouse from Oak Creek 35th; #17 Garrison Jeske 38th and #31 Kevin Gentry from Genoa City, 43rd.
